I wouldn't.. but those are geared towards people who take fluffy novelty yarns, and attach them around the top part that holds them to your foot. So much more fun then boring solid colors. I used to make fun fur flip flops for Ashley when she was little. :)
They are only good for one season. She was in the 4-7 yrs and they survived the summer with her alternating between two or three pairs. I used a single crochet stitch and put the fun fur on that way, but you could just wrap it.

I bought the pink ones in the upper right ;-)
But it never occurred to me to wrap the clear plastic. Doesn't it just get all gross?
