edit - my bad... I know the full story now! but isn't this a good photo? ... as wonderful as the ceremony was otherwise, I laughed when Barack mixed up his words, trying to repeat the oath ... I mean, you haven't been practicing it in your pajamas in front of the bathroom mirror for WEEEEEEKS?????

You know, I thought the same thing, but then the commentators on CBS indicated it was actually the justice that messed it up...so, courtesy of TiVo, I went back and indeed, the justice said it differently the second time. But damn if half the Republicans ain't gonna run with that one.

the kids at school chuckled at that also.... they were awesome today.
I also noticed the gaffe but thought it had to do with Justice Roberts reading so many lines at once. Usually it's one line at a time, but it looks like Emmay nailed the reason.
it was a combo pack - Roberts screwed the rhythm and then flipped the words.
Already, it starts, the people saying the muffed oath makes him not president and the people saying roberts did it on purpose.
Hopefully enough actually listened to the speech to hear him say put away childish things and see through the mirror.
Roberts did not bring any notes...and screwed up.
Mr President did the PRUDENT thing, and waited for Roberts to figure it out and re-issue the oath properly. Roberts STILL screwed it up and Obama tried to help.
That shows class on Obama's part.
